The warm weather is perfect for outdoor entertaining. One thing I love to check off my list, when preparing for a dinner party is knowing that all my outdoor furniture is clean and ready. Here are a few simple tips that I’ve found to be helpful, to make entertaining a breeze!
Every few weeks, I’ve noticed that the entertaining supplies get a little grimy and gritty, too often collecting a lot of dust and pollen, sitting on our back patio.
Enter this cool little sponge that has saved us time and energy, the Scotch-Brite Extreme Scrub Sponge. It’s treated to resist bacterial odors, and has 4x the scrubbing power than the next leading brand at removing tough baked-on messes allowing us to easily clean easier and avoid smelly sponges.
It also features a long-lasting antimicrobial product protection, and an innovative new scouring web, plus there is NO presoak required.
1. Patio table and chairs.
2. Clean the barbecue.
3. Wipe down the ice buckets, drink containers, chargers, candles, umbrellas, side tables.
And why do I love this little purple sponge? With 50 years of cleaning tool expertise, Scotch-Brite Brand offers the breadth of cleaning tools for all your home cleaning needs. Whether in the kitchen for scrubbing dishes, wiping counters and cleaning appliances, or in your bathroom’s hard-to-reach places, like shower tile and under the toilet rim, or even when removing pet hair and lint from your clothing, Scotch-Brite Brand cleaning tools help you get the job done right. And we know clean feels good!
This time of year is perfect for fresh appetizers, so once the patio was ready, I created a simple platter of Apricot Ricotta Honey Basil Bites for the dinner party.
Drizzled with the finest balsamic glaze (yum!), I was able to make these up ahead of time to chill in the fridge, then pull out as the guests arrived.
• 12 apricots, seeded and cut into halves
• 1 cup ricotta cheese
• 2 Tbsp. honey
• Fresh basil, finely chopped
• Sea salt
• Balsamic Glaze
• Place the 24 apricot halves on a tray.
• In a small bowl, mix the ricotta and honey.
• Fill each apricot half with a dollop (about 2 Tbsp.) of ricotta mixture.
• Sprinkle with sea salt.
• Drizzle the bites with balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with finely chopped basil. Refrigerate if needed.
• Best if served at room temperature.
